Featured Opportunity - Seeking Songs for Gloriana
Gloriana is an American country music group founded in 2008. It is composed of brothers Tom Gossin and Mike Gossin (vocals, guitar), as well as Rachel Reinert (vocals, tambourine) and Cheyenne Kimball (vocals, mandolin). Before the band's foundation, Kimball was the 2002 winner of the competition America's Most Talented Kid and a solo artist on Epic Records. Gloriana released its debut single "Wild at Heart" in February 2009, which has become a Top 15 hit on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. The group's self titled debut album, Gloriana, was released on August 4, 2009.

I will critique the submitted song, offer suggestions as far as songwriting, production and the mix. I am also willing to mix that critiqued song for them, no charge to the artist. Artist would be responsible for shipping the session to me, and would sign an agreement that this was done on spec, no money changed hands, and I as the Mix Engineer would be given a "Mixed by Chris Matty" credit.
Some of my mixing, production, and songwriting credits include, Jamie Drastik (Making the Band 2), Linkin Park (remix), It Factor Music, Kerri Edelman (niece of famed composer Randy Edelman), and E Major Productions, My songwriting partner Erin Murphy-Dunn (ASCAP) and I have had success in television placements with Block City Entertainment, OutTv, "Chris and John to the rescue", and John Simpson Productions. I have also enjoyed radio and placement success with Kerri Edelman's album. Her singles "Echo" and "Sinking in" have been spun on college and internet radio stations such as Girls Rock Radio. "Vanilla Skies" was selected as the song to represent "Goddess Energy-Flirt Sports Drink" and "Another Life" was placed in the trailer for the independent film "Life Just Happened" for Yes Productions.

Amanda Lear
Amanda Lear is a French singer, lyricist, composer, painter, TV presenter, actress and novelist.
Lear began her career as a fashion model in the mid-1960s and was also the muse of Spanish surrealist painter Salvador DalÃ. She first came to the public attention as the model on the cover of Roxy Music's album For Your Pleasure in 1973. She was a multimillion selling Disco Queen in the mid-1970s to the early 1980s mainly in Continental Europe and Scandinavia with hits such as "Queen of Chinatown", "Follow Me", "Enigma (Give a Bit of Mmh to Me)" and "Fashion Pack". Lear has sold 15 million albums and over 25 million singles worldwide.
In the mid-1980s she positioned herself as one of the leading media personalities in mainland Europe, especially in Italy and in France where she hosted many long-running TV shows. Since the 1990s her time has been divided between music, television, writing and movies as well as pursuing her career as a painter. Currently she lives in Saint-Étienne-du-Grès near Avignon in the south of France.

A music producer based out of Los Angeles, Ca. I have major label credits, and I'm currently looking for Songwriters & Singers, to contribute to current music opportunities that are available to me.
Here is a breakdown of the sort of records I am looking for in particular. Hope this helps some....
Lupe - I need something in the vein of superstar, I need a hiphop crossover record. It needs to be very positive , but not preachy. Hooks and song concepts, with LOADS of melody...you could have someone from a current rock band in mind doing the hook, that is NOT the dude from Cold Play. ha
TI - cant sound like any of his previous singles, no ballads at all, leaning more towards the urban side, like urban with an R&B flavor. Has to be very positive as well, but not preachy. Song ideas and so on.
BOB - I need something in the vein of Ms.Jackson from Outkast. Think outkast and Goodie Mob, I need a more urban single from him. it must have LOADS of melody!
Wiz Khalifa - Think new age Snoop Dog, I need smokers anthems..look at his lyrical content and you can come up with hook ideas, girls, smoking, champagne and so on.
Laza Morgan - Maxi Preist meets Bob Marley. Reggae with an adult urban feel. loads of melody...romantic feel good material but more urban.
Cody Simpson - pop records, top40, think NSYNC lyrics but with an up to date pop sound, you can hear where he is going with the material that is online... VERY female positive records, for girls 18-24. hooks and complete songs. LOADS of melody.....yes he is 14, but don't make his age evident...no songs with silly concepts like facebook and twitter...and nothing about first loves.
I am really looking for 8 bar hooks, no 16's. The hook needs to summarize the song and get to the point right from the start of the hook, don't wait till the end, think "Californian girls" by Katy Perry. No one word chorus that repeat the word over and over...and LOADS and LOADS of melody.

Gran Royale Presents "Live Talent Showcase" & GRM780 Radio Station: Looking For Music
Gran Royale Music produces, promotes and distributes the digital content of indie artists to help them build up their fan base and get connections with music industry professionals.
Gran Royale Presents "Live Talent Showcase": From our desire to help indie artists we were inspired to create 'GRM Presents'. It's a live music showcase that will take place at least once a month in the Bay Area.
The purpose is to provide indie artists with an opportunity to get more exposure by providing them the opportunity to perform in front of a live audience.
The event will be video taped, live streamed and photographed. Each artist who participates will get their own personal copy of the video, the widget code and photos of their performance.
This showcase is open to performers of all genres and art forms such as singers, rappers, dancers, comedians, spoken word artists and anyone who wants to showcase their talent.
Admission is free and there will be complimentary refreshments and gifts for our guests.
The first GRM Presents is schedule to take place Saturday Oct 23th from 4pm to 8pm at SoundWave Studios 2200 Wood St in Oakland, CA 94607.
